How Much Did You Spend On Your Open Bar Per Person?

Ours came to $25 per person for the entire night (Greek receptions can be 7 to 8 hours long). I thought it was a pretty good deal.

@HappilyEver A modified open bar means we had free alcohol but a limited selection. We had beer, wine, sparkling white wine, three signature cocktails (whiskey based, tequila based, and rum based) and three signature shots (whiskey based, tequila based, and rum based). It went over well! It was significantly cheaper and we had quite a bit leftover that my DH and I have been chipping away at (and gifting one of our nice JD Single Barrel bottles for the holidays).

Our venue was BYOB and we had a huge selection (still have tons left). We spent about $1,200 on wine, beer, and liquor - so with 150 guests that brings the total to around $8 a person.

Ours is included in the dinner price:

$74 includes soup, salad, entrée (choice of prime rib, chicken, or scrod), open bar (5.5 hours), champagne toast, coffee/tea service, and linens.

We are upgrading the salad, adding a TON of food for cocktail hour, as well as an ice cream sundae bar, so it comes to around $100 per person before tax and fees.

We paid $33 pp plus tax & tip, for four hours with beer, wine, and well alcohol. So with tax and tip it ended up being closer to $43 pp/4 hours.

That does sound reasonable for such a long reception. Ours is included in our per person price!

Ours is about $13/pp for limited open bar (beer, wine, 3 sig drinks). Part of me is worried that this is too good to be true. Anyone who had their wedding with bar in this price range ($10-20 pp)--I'd love to hear how it went!

ETA: our reception is 4 hours

We're paying $13 for every 21+ adult plus the cost of alcohol. That includes bartenders, mixers, soda/juice, garnishes, glassware ,barware, napkins, straws and the physical bar for the whole night. (About 6 hours).

Ours was included in our package. My sister paid around $53 per person, for 4 hours of top-shelf open bar. Under 21 was half that cost. The champagne toast was extra and charged per bottle plus service charge and sales tax. I don't know if the 4 hours was a state rule or venue rule? We married in another state and it was 5 hours.

Ours is $20/person for premium liquor and 4 hours but we added a Bloody Mary and Mimosa Bar (since we are serving brunchy food) which is another $3/person. So $23/person which is not bad in my opinion for all the options and variety we have.

I'm spending $18 per person for our open bar, for four and a half hours for our premium bar package, which includes one domestic, one import, whites and reds, champagne, and "mid shelf" liquors, as well as sodas and juices.

Oh ok, we're having an open bar we just haven't decided exactly what we want to do yet. My FH is fine with beer and wine however I love martini's and I can't imagine not having vodka for my MOH Smiley smile thankful I have plenty of time to bring him over to the hosting better side of things.
