How much did you spend on your bridesmaids/groomsmen gifts?

I am just trying to lock down a budget of some sort. I am thinking about $150 each? What did you guys do?

$30 but the gifts are worth $80 (I got good deals). Also my BM just need to wear a blue dress, so many already had one.

Edit: Most do need to come from out of town (one flying, the others driving). But we are not compensating our other guests for traveling. The whole wedding cost is blowing my mind.

I am spending as little as possible on the whole wedding party and here is why. I have to pay for all their outfits including shoes. I am paying for their meal at the rehearsal dinner and 2 receptions. MOH is my 21 year old daughter so I will get here jewelry and give it to her at rehearsal dinner. She is on her own for hair and makeup. I have short hair and will be doing my own hair and I don't usually wear makeup but will do the basics for the wedding so to look nice in pictures. The rest of the wedding party I am flying by the seat of my pants but I know it will be on sale or at a really nice price.

For a practical idea that ties into a photo booth offering - we have nice designer frames in black glass and in silver aluminum where you can put in a nice picture of you and them and a special message. Later, they can replace these items with a photo strip and a 4x6 picture to keep at home. Just an idea if you are more on a budget or need an extra something to give everyone....even parents of the bride and groom ?

Prolly around $100-150 per girl and plan on the same amount for all the groomsmen

Oh, wow. I spent around $40 on each girl but it was all on sale so it was really probably around $60 but now I am thinking I should do more. I have 8 girls and 2 junior bridesmaids though so that adds up quick! I would love to do more.

@Jessica, that is ALOT of girls, I have 5 and thought that was alot, thats why I started to buy gifts months ago...everything I've gotten so far has been on sale...I did $10 personalized tote bags from Etsy, was able to Coach clutches on clearance at the outlet for $28 and will be adding Diamond Candles among other things (like personalized compact mirrors for $6/ea)...if you are looking for more, there are so many affordable things on Etsy...search "Bridesmaids gifts" and spend sometime scrolling through (I have SO MUCH STUFF sitting in my "cart" on the website right now!)

This is what I recently read ~~~~ "Here's how it works: If your asked your friend to spend a total of $300 on buying stuff for your wedding, you purchase him a gift that's costs anywhere from 10-25% of what he spent. In this case, a groomsmen gift priced somewhere between $30-$75."
