How much did you spend on flowers for reception and ceremony?

We have a small WP, but a large guest list - 21 guests tables, including our sweetheart table. We have two estimates for flowers so far, from very reputable vendors. Their styles are a little different, one company is smaller, the other much more established. But their estimates are like night and day. Like, one estimate is more than twice the other. Yikes! I told FH a while back that I could forgo centerpieces, since that can add up really quickly. I'd be content with a few candles and petals. He surprised me by saying that he thought the tables would look "boring" lol! We haven't decided what to do yet. So out of curiosity, how much did you end up spending on flowers?

I bought $200.00 worth of silk flowers that were on 50% on sale, so I actually got $400.00 worth. I made my bridal bouquet , the matron of honor's bouquet, four bouts, flowers for the arch, and flowers for the tables. I was also able to buy garland for decerations. "8-6ft long garland with flowers and greeny" Our wedding is just a small one with about 50 people. Our venue is a 1900's bed and breakfast styled each of the eight bedrooms differently. The venue is decerated in vintage style so I figured garland will be enough.

A shit ton. Yeah, a lot. That said, I don't regret it at all. Loved every single piece of greenery on my tables and it was worth every single penny.

$250. I bought repurposed hand made fabric flower package (three bridesmaid one bridal bouquet and four boutonnieres for $180 ) from an etsy vendor who happens to live in between my city and my parents city so I didn't pay shipping. The ceremony aisle will only be draped in tulle swags from Michaels. Ive got a beautiful silk arrangement from Michaels that will decorate the arch and double as the cake table decoration at the ceremony. I also bought beautoful paper peonies in our wedding color (3 for $15) on etsy for our cake.

I got wedding package from our hotel that covers all the centerpieces. We have a smaller wedding of 50 people I'm sure additional tables would increase centerpiece costs.

I'm really glad that I searched for a "flowers" thread and found this one. Boy was I delusional in thinking that I could get away with $200 budget for 8 bouquets, 7 corsages, 12 bouts.... looks like I need to do more research. Smiley sad
