How much did you spend for your wedding cake? Is $1,000k too much.

Is the Swarovsky edible? If you like bling on a cake it would prob be cheaper for the bakery to use metallic sprinkles or pearls (made of sugar, so you can eat it.) They can also add a nice pearly sheen to the frosting or fondant with a spray, or use an edible glittery paint. Another option is gold leaf, but that is prob not cheap either.

Swarvoski is expensive I'm surprised that many crystals isn't more. Although as others have said them and the flowers will likely need to be removed before eating

$1,000 is overpriced in my opinion. I had a 4 tier wedding cake with fresh flowers and it was $425.00

We are planning on spending less than 500. 1,000 is a lot, but if it’s in the budget go for it!

That’s a lot of money on a cake. Were having a 3 tier cake and an additional sheet cake in the bake, and both those together is $250 total. Of course your cake has a lot a detail and stuff, ours were keeping fairly simple.

I decided to skip the cake and we decided on having a dessert bar. We did cupcakes and mini cupcakes, chocolate covered strawberries, mini cheesecakes, and mini creme brûlée. We spent under $800 for all of that. The taste is more important to me. If you feel like that is the best cake for you then go for it. Just make sure that it taste yummy.

This is what mine is going to look like. My mom is actually paying for our cake. I think she’s being charged $200/300. I have heard of people spending hundreds or more on wedding cakes depending on how extravagant it is. The Swarovski is pretty though.

I have a 4 tiered cake for close to $300. I would never pay 1K for a cake but if you like it and fits your budget go for it. I would get more quotes though. And maybe your florist could place the flowers instead or you could provide flowers from just the grocery store to the baker to decorate.

This is my $300 cake. Yours is way over the top for me, but hey, if you like it, it's your day.
