How much are you spending on bridesmaid gifts?

Kayla, on July 13, 2019 at 7:54 PM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 11
I was thinking about doing silk floral robes for getting ready pictures, slippers, bath bombs, nail polish and a tote bag with a nice personalized note. Is this enough? I will be spending about $50 per bridesmaid and I have 6 of them. I want to add something extra for my maid of honor, but wasn’t sure what to add to hers?

Unless you have unlimited funds, I have always preferred receiving one gift, as I would at my birthday or a holiday, something I am interested in, or like to do, and not a bunch of little stuff, most especially not beauty or spa stuff, robes, candles etc. We gave one nice, larger personal gift to each person. Because they are each individual friends, not a treat alike team, one size fits all type gifts.

Well we are not doing individual gifts because it would be impossible to make them all “equal” and I don’t want anyone getting offended. Not to mention the massive time investment in hunting down the exact perfect gift for everyone. We are buying for 6 bridesmaids, 5 groomsmen, 4 parents, 2 flower girls, 1 ring bearer and 1 singer. It’s not a birthday or Christmas and so I dont feel like super personal individual gifts are necessary or appropriate. Most people do give spa type stuff or robes or tumblers or tote bags to their bridesmaids. Otherwise there wouldn’t be such a huge market for it on Etsy, Amazon, etc. On top of that, my bridesmaids don’t have to do anything other than show up for the wedding. I’m sure they will be grateful for any gifts they will be given.

    So that’s $2500 divided by 40= $62.50/per box.

I think that $50 is fine! I only had 1 bridesmaid and my MOH so I was able to splurge but had I had more I think $50-75 would have been my limit. With paying for hair & makeup, accessories, food & drink for getting ready etc, it all adds up so fast!

Money is so tight with me right now. Who knows, I might be able to afford more closer to my wedding but as of right now, I'm just getting all the girls jewelry sets. There's so much more I want to do for them but it all depends on what my budget will let me spend on them

Yes, I think that's enough! I'm spending $75 per bridesmaid and an extra $20 on a necklace for the MOH. I'm paying for HAMU but wanted to get them something in addition.
