How much am I supposed to tip the baker in this situation...?

How much tip is appropriate if the total bill is $928.90? The bakery is owned and operated by a mother & daughter duo. They are the only two employees, and they will both be delivering and doing the initial setup of the cake, cupcakes, and cookies then will leave. Our caterer will be replenishing...

Our caterer will be replenishing the cupcake stand and cookies for them as needed.

Please no rude comments. I've never had to tip on an amount this high before, so I need help. The wedding is not until May 6th, but I'm trying to verify I have enough budgeted for tips too. Thanks!

Wait... that cake should not cost 1000. Those are cupcakes arranged on a stand. Am I missing something?

@swin yes you are. Read what else is included in the price.

Y'all... the bakery my venue suggested for the cake is that expensive. Their wedding cakes START OUT at $900 for 100 people.

Needless to say, we found a different bakery.

We are inviting 190 guests and already know at least 140 confirmed will be there. We also have a few dozen cake pops like the picture below and other harry potter themed candies for guests to choose from the grooms table. Smiley laugh I'm excited!!

Personally, I would tip each person delivering the cake $25 and call it a day. It sounds like the mother/daughter duo are pocketing $500 each (minus materials).

Standard is 20 percent. For the bill. But if you thought they did a great job give each of them additional.

Kim, no it is not standard to tip 20% to the baker.

I was under the impression you just tipped the person that delivered it...

    You don't tip business owners.
