How much alcohol are you buying for your wedding?

So I did a little shopping today. We are having a 50 person wedding but there will only be 27 adults drinking. I spent $220 at Trader Joe’s tonight on the following: 3 bottles of vodka for our signature drink 3 bottles of sparkling rosé 4 bottles of champagne 3 bottles of rosé 3 bottles of cab 1...
So I did a little shopping today. We are having a 50 person wedding but there will only be 27 adults drinking. I spent $220 at Trader Joe’s tonight on the following:
3 bottles of vodka for our signature drink
3 bottles of sparkling rosé
4 bottles of champagne
3 bottles of rosé
3 bottles of cab
1 bottle of Chardonnay
2 bottles of Pino Grigio
4 bottles of Sauvignon blanc
2 bottles of Primitivo

Then we are getting a keg of miller lite (my FH beer of choice) a few IPA’s and probably a bottle of whiskey

To much? To little?

Maybe I went over for wine? Lol. I have 2 cases for 27 ish people! But we also aren’t doing liquor aside from signature drink. So probably ok. Going to have a keg but I wasn’t sure how much beer aside from that. My brother (he’s a caterer, his own company) thinks there will be a lot of beer drinkers. Would you say 2 cases? I like golden monkey and I was thinking also an IPA? Not my thing but I know it popular.

This is my second wedding so I knew I wanted my son to walk me. My FW's son will be walking her as well. We love the idea of them being our best men. My dad is getting up there, but just having him there is enough for me.

It's basically a cherry limeade with rum. We'll have cherries and lime slices to make it look pretty. What's yours?

Pear Haymaker. I wanted something with Vodka since that’s my liquor of choice and my FH only drinks beer. It’s Vodka, ginger beer, simple syrup & fresh pears and a sprig of rosemary for garnish.

I’m hoping! I told them to take it easy on the simple syrup as I don’t like sweet. I just wanted something fresh and delicious!

Too funny. My first thought was "I'll have to try that without the simple syrup". I'm not big on sweet either.

Absolutely zero. Too much money and I cannot stand my in-laws when they are buzzed/drunk.

FH is an Enophile with a 🍷account.

    So he ordered 🍾s.
    Moacato: 30
    Pino Grigio: 18

However, there’s only going to be enough for 🥂.

You're thinking ahead which is good but....

1.5 drinks per hour. An additional drink in first hour. Per person.

I'm in the liquor business sooooo our friends are going to drink.

    24 cases of beer
    2 cases of bubbles
    6 cases of white wine
    6 cases of red wine
    1 case of rose
    3 cases vodka
    2 cases whiskey
    1 case tequila

And 3 mixed cases of gins, scotches, rums, brandies, and high end bourbon....

It may be too much or it may be just enough.

My thought with booze... it will never go bad. If you buy too much than you and your honey will have some fun drunken memories over the first year at home. Which is not a bad thing lol... too little and you'll have to send someone with a credit card to restock when you run out.

I like that you're providing a variety. That's thoughtful indeed
