How many years have you been together?

We have been together a year.

Almost 4 but we've been friends for almost 7

We will be a few months shy of 2 years when we get married.

We have been together a trying 21 years. We've endured hardships I've never imagined having to go through but here we are. WE MADE IT AND WILL MAKE IT MANY MORE YEARS TO COME THROUGH LOVE AND SUPPORT OF ONE ANOTHER!

Then we went through some hardships and I felt like the engagement meant nothing bc I felt like we were so settled in that it will never officially happen. But now I'm happy it took us this long bc in those 5 years we went through so much and grew as a couple

View Quoted Comment Thank you for that. I had been feeling some type of way, as this will be our 2nd time changing the date, and then the same happened with us, hardships, parent illness, etc. This time around feels different. I think it took this time for us to grow as well.
