Totally true. It’s hard when you have something in mind and bridal stores just don’t have that style.

I tried on around 25 dresses total between 3 bridal boutiques. I had a pretty clear vision of what I wanted and had it narrowed down to 2 designers before I started shopping. I ended up saying yes to the 2nd (maybe 3rd) dress I tried on 🤣!

Well that’s good! Did you just continue to try some on just to make sure that was the one?

I had several dresses that I really wanted to try on. They were favorites if mine by the designers I liked. I knew if I didn’t try on all of them I would have FOMO lol.

I went to 3 different places, tried on about 20 different dresses. I knew which one was my "dream dress", it was at the last shop we went to, the last dress I tried on, and immediately I knew! Smiley heart It's insane because I asked about the dress at the first bridal boutique I went to, and they didn't have it. By the time I went to the last bridal store, I forgot to ask about the dress - which they did have, but it happened to be the first one the lady picked for me, and it was seriously crazy how it was meant to be.

Lol I think I went in knowing exact what I wanted and once I found it I just went with it. The hard part for me was finding what I wanted for the price I wanted I got both on the first Try I have absolutely no I am in love with my dress it’s so perfect. Now.... the question is do I want a 2nd dress for the reception lol 😂

🤣 I originally was debating a second dress, but I went against it. I don’t want to only wear my dress for an hour for the ceremony I think it would be a waste. So I decided to wear my dress all night 🥰

I tried on SO SO many. it was a JOURNEY. I had never given my wedding dress much thought and I liked so many different styles - trumpet, high neck, beaded, flowy, vintage...

In total, probably like 60 dresses between ordering/returning online and in-person. I was really driven to save money and order on sale or secondhand. Admittedly, this didn't work out at all in the end because I bought like 5 dresses that I either couldn't return or missed the return window on because I thought they were the one.

Ultimately, the alterations cost helped me narrow in on "the one" from my final two. The final one is the LAST one I purchased just 4 weeks from the wedding day. All those I bought but didn't pick are at consignment now and I'll eventually break even, I should have just spent $1200 to start and I'd be in the same spot without all the hassle.
