How many venues did you tour?

About ten venues.

Half of one? Kind of? I searched tirelessly online, but we only ever went to look at one. We drove all the way up there (3 hours) and the guy who runs the grounds was no where to be found!!! So we walked around outside on our own, peeked through some windows, and found an unlocked door that gave us a look at the hall.

Even after that experience we still went with it! The place ended up being great for us.

We only toured one, actually! No need to tour anymore! Once we saw this place, we fell in love with it! It is perfect for our shabby chic style! It's called hope cabins and it has a beautiful pond where we will have our ceremony and then there is a HUGE, gorgeous log cabin where we will have our reception, and there are also 5 luxury lodging cabins on site that are all blocked off for my wedding party. So we will have a bridal cabin and a groom cabin to get ready in, and an on site honeymoon suite, with plenty of lodging for our out of town guests! It couldnt be more perfect. And the price we got it for is absolutely amazing!...wait for it.....$900!!! (That doesn't include the cabins, they are $143 a piece, but still.....WOW!

We toured 4, with 2 more scheduled that we decided to cancel since we felt we already knew what two we were between. And we are still between those two! Haha. We can't decide. I think once you find a venue that fits your budget, style and wants it's good to stop looking- too many options can be overwhelming!

Zero, I wanted a private intimate ceremony and reception together around my parents pool area and have the ceremony begin at sunset. They live in the country so it’s the perfect wedding scene.

View Quoted Comment The venue we picked had 3 or 5 day packages. We picked the 3 day, so we have 3 days of access to the venue for pictures, decorating, rehearsal. They also provide a lot of decor and props we can use.
