How Many Rose Petals????? Advice PLZ (PICS)

Brittany S, on February 28, 2011 at 10:04 AM Posted in Planning 1 9

I was wondering if anyone has done anything similar with their aisles in their wedding? Or planning on do it? Im not sure how many flower petals I am going to need. I found a lady on ebay who sells all differant colors of the petal, and she has my 2 colors, and she is selling them for 1.19 per 100. And do you think it would look alright? Im gonna make the aisle wide enough so when I walk I wont be dragging petals with me lol.any Idea on how many boxes im gonna need would be really helpful Or any advice would be great! Thanks

I'm planning on doing the same thing, but was going to just do a scattering. Was going to call my florist this week because I'm having it outdoors and they have to be real petals.

It probably depends on how long your aisle is and how thick/full you want the little rows to be. I'm gonna estimate that 100 petals won't actually go very far, maybe 2 feet? But that's a guess. I know they actually sell aisle runners pre-made that you roll out (full petal runners and also ones that just go up the sides of the aisle) but they are kinda pricy. Here is the website. http://www.petalhappy.com/
Also make sure your venue allows petals to be used, some places don't allow them...

I found this petal calculator to be really helpful. I just ordered my petals through ebay in bulk. Hope this helps and good luck.

I used a petal calculater and it was not at all helpful. My isle length is just over 60 ft. and the calculator recommended 3,000 petals for the look I'm going for (thick pile of petals lining both sides of the isle). I'm going to need to order 3500 more.

    Good luck!

@ Noei - the pre-made, roll them out ones are so pretty! But they are pricy, so not really an option for a bride on a tight budget like I was! =-P

Finally! the exact explanation. Varieties have different amount of petals, but this is the best answer I found so far

Did you order freeze dried or fresh petals?
