How many rings do you have?

I’ve thought about having FH give me the eternity band after the ceremony, but I feel like it’s kind of wasteful to get both right away. I’ve seen lots of people with 3 rings (including e-ring), and one of the jewelers I spoke with said that’s becoming more common, so I’m curious why other people are getting them. FWIW my e-ring was inherited, so currently no rings have been purchased in this process.

Both my e-ring and my wedding band are family heirlooms. I love them both dearly, but I don't have a ring that fh and I chose, so I think I will eventually get an anniversary band that we can shop and choose for ourselves.

Of course we were free to choose not to accept the heirloom jewelry, too, but it was sentimental to me to wear something of my great-gramma's so we went with them.

My DH gave me my third ring when my daughter was born. It is her birthstone and has her name and birth date inscribed on it. I wear my wedding band, engagement ring and baby's ring everyday. If we have any other children, I'll have rings for those as well.

Do you plan to primarily wear the eternity band after the ceremony? If so, you could get a sterling silver wedding band for the ceremony to offset the cost of two rings?

I have an oddly shaped e-ring so I had to get my wedding band custom made by the same person who made my e-ring. It's turning out to be a bit pricey so I'm just going to have one wedding band and my e-ring.

We're getting matching white gold bands (different millimeters) and then I'm getting a diamond band that matches my e-ring to go on top of the e-ring. As far as the ceremony, I think he'll just place both on at the same time and the I'll switch after.

I have my engagement ring which is a big ol' diamond and super sparkly, and then I have my Great Grandmothers wedding band which is just a plain solid 14k gold band. It adds a unique style to my engagement ring (its a much more modern ring). I hope to get another band on our ten year anniversary!!

I agree with @Portlandia. If you're just getting the plain and for your religious ceremony, just get something from Overstock or Amazon so you can get both.

I like single bands and stacking rings, but I don't like the look of wraps and enhancers. I chose my wedding band because FH and my favorite color is blue, so I wanted all sapphires. He has a Celtic dragon band, so I will probably get an Irish twist band as an anniversary ring to wear on my right hand to match his.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought a lot about this. I have 3 rings. My e-ring is duet halo so it was difficult to find a matching band. My husband had an insert made so my e-ring slides into the center of it. It's too much bling to wear on a daily basis (I feel really spoiled saying this too), so I also have a band with diamonds going half way around which I can wear all on its own and still feel like I have some sparkle.

During the ceremony he placed the single band on my finger, and then before the reception I took my e-ring from my right hand, put it in the insert and wore it on my left hand.

Wow I've never seen anything like that (not that I've done a lot of looking). That's really cool!

My ering has a matching wedding band so I bought the band to wear for the wedding but the band was so narrow that I had it soldered onto the ering. Then it looked asymmetrical so I bought another one and had it soldered to make the ring look symmetrical. I am getting a diamond eternity band for the wedding.

I have two bands. When FH and I went shopping we originally were gunna just get the one but it just looked so much better with two so he bought me both. Was it necessary? Probably not. But he wanted me happy so he bought me both. I feel very luck to have gotten both right away without having to wait a few years. Just do what makes you happy!

I bought 2. The pic on the left is of an enhancer/wrap that I fell in love with but it was around $1,000 and I couldn't justify the price. I just liked how it looked more than a single band. However with black Friday deals I found the band's in the pic on the right on sale for $99.99/each and they look the same. I plan to have them soldered together anyway. I had decided after seeing the low price on individual bands that we could afford both.

I wanted the enhancer/wrap pictured on the left but couldn't justify $1,000 for it. I just liked the look better than the individual bands. But I found a black Friday deal online and got 2 individual bands on the right pic for $99.99 each (originally $419.99). It looks close enough to make me happy.

I wanted two bands, i literally just like the look of it. the differing stackable bands that people are doing now is super cute!! i had two bands custom made to fit around my ring and will get them soldered together. I think it is just whatever look you like and are trying to go for.

I have two bands, or will come my wedding day. I hate when things aren't symmetrical. It would drive me nuts wearing just one band for years. So worth the extra money in my opinion. Smiley smile
