How many programs?

Abigail, on August 11, 2017 at 5:08 PM Posted in Planning 0 8

About to print my own programs for the ceremony and wondering how many I should make? I have about 240 people who RSVPed yes but I know some people say a bunch will only go to the reception and like families with kids will probably only need 1 or 2 for a family of 4... suggestions or percentages to go by?

I recommend one per couple - they will share, and kids don't need them. About 75% is a good number.

Zero. They are a waste of paper.

But if you insist on doing them, you should probably have one per person. You wouldn't want to run out. Kids love grabbing handouts.

Why would people skip the wedding and attend the reception? That's super weird and kind of offensive. It's one seamless event. Please tell me you don't have a gap?

I am planning on 1 per person. But the 75% sounds reasonable.

I don't have a gap other than drive time from the church to reception and thanks for the advice!

    StPaulGal-

If printing programs is a waste of paper, why would she print one per person when that is defiantly way to many programs?

Guests like knowing what is coming up next and what to expect. Providing programs can also give information of bridal party as to who is who.

We had 250 RSVP and we had 125 printed. One per family. At the end they do get thrown away so why waste more then needed?

April C was that enough? I'm thinking of printing like 125-150 on cardstock and some on regular paper in case I run out...
