I did anywhere from 6-10 to a table. Depending on how I was able to group everyone together

We have mostly tables of eight, with a couple of ten.

Depends how big your tables are...mine are 8 foot rectangular tables and we're doing 8 people per table, 4 on each side.

We're adding tables to our venue so we don't have 10 to a table. 10 is a little crowded for my liking personally. We have 60 inch round tables and are having 8 to a table.

We did 10 people at each 72" round table. There was plenty of room for 10 with that size table.

If you have 5 foot round tables, don't go more than 10 to a table. If 4 foot round tables, don't go beyond 8. If 6 foot round tables, don't go above 12.

If 6 foot long banquet tables, don't go above 8. If 8 foot long banquet tables, don't go above 10.

    Happy seating!! Smiley smile

Yes depends on size. 72in can fit 10, 60in 8. I had 60in and did 8. Some had 6 some had 7 some had 8. Pic below of my tables (had buffet as well). The closest table had 8 and you can see there isnt much more room.

"Officially" we were told that our 72 inch rounds could fit up to 12 people. But seriously--whatever you are told is the maximum, subtract 2 for the comfort of your guests. It's miserable being jammed in like sardines at a too-small table. The old axiom applies: "just because you can doesn't mean you should."

We targeted 8 people per table, and it was perfect. One table had 9 and one had 6, just due to how the groups worked out.

That's what we did and it worked out perfectly. Buffet as well.

How big are the tables? A table that seats 8-10 might feel cramped. A 10-12 would give elbow room. But as a lefty, I'm biased

I planned a huge, 530-person event for my employer last year. I'll do it again this year, so I'm very confident in my answer on this one: If the tables are 60" rounds, 10 people will comfortably fit. For 72" rounds, 12 people will comfortably fit, but anywhere from 9-12 will work. If you go less than 8, the tables will start looking sparse.

Our vendor said 10 to a 60" round table is fine but having sat at one with 8 people I wouldn't have wanted to make room for 2 more. So we're doing mostly 8 to a table. I think one has 9 at it just to not break up any families.
