how many photographers should I interview?

There is no set amount, interview ones that fit your budget and whose photos appeal to you. If five fit those requirements, interview five.

I understand you're in a rush, but make sure whoever you go with, you are happy with, don't rush in your decision. Good luck!

There's not a set number of vendors you should meet or interview. Once you find someone you can trust and you love their work, book them.

That being said, I would start booking NOW. Your date is popular, my photographer had 2 other brides asking for 10/7/17 before we booked her.

I met with two, and booked the second. I was going to book the first before even meeting with the second, but she booked up our date before I could tell her we were ready to book. The second photographer turned out to be even better than the first. I would keep looking around and meeting up with photographers until you feel a good connection with one, who makes you feel at ease

I met with three and booked the second one! I too am getting married 10/7/17!

Four.

We started with two that we met with in the same week. I had emailed and gotten information from a couple more, but hadn't set meetings with them. When we met with the second photographer we just clicked, she offered me my favorite beer so that may be a reason (lol jk), so we didn't bother meeting with more. I did a lot of research and looked up many reviews and pics online before booking interviews, so I think that helped a lot.

I think it is a good idea to interview as many as you need. I technically only had one meeting, spoke with a few over the phone and via email. But in the end we set up a meeting with one we liked and when we met with her it was a good fit for us both budget and style.

So many people getting married on Oct 7th, must be a good day to get married!! I'm meeting with both in the next week. Probably decide between the 2, cause this is stressing me out. Then on to the DJ, Who knew planning a wedding would be so expensive and stressful . thanks everyone!

I met with 3. After researching for two months, I narrowed it down to them and set up meetings for the same week. After the meetings, I felt very comfortable and confident in the decision I made.

We interviewed 2. Had more scheduled but I honestly vibed with the first one. She spent over an hour with me and didn't make me feel rushed.
