How many people rsvp/showed up?

kelsey , on July 11, 2018 at 9:45 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 22

Just interested to see how many people some of you invited, compared to how many attended.

We are having a smaller wedding and i think everyone has a couple of those people who they invite to be polite, but are kind of hoping they don't attend.

We invited 54 and 50 are coming. I was only anticipating about 45 since it is a wedding weekend in another state. My 95 yr old grandmother is making the 4 hour journey to the wedding which shocked us all.

183 invited. 17 declined. 155 showed. Good thing I gave 150 as a head count to the venue.

I had some yeses that were no-shows as well. Really infuriating. And they had no good reason, such as an illness etc.

I know, right?! We had 4 no-shows...with only 50 guests. I’d waaay prefer a “No” RSVP then a “Yes” but flake. Ruuuude.

We invited around 140 (including single people we weren't sure would use their plus one)

A decent chunk of those invites were from my MIL's side of the family that she insisted wouldn't come, but she felt strongly should get an invite. In the back of my mind I was prepared to host them if they all said yes just in case. She ended up being almost right because only 1 couple came.

So we had 70 people say yes.

1 couple backed out a week ahead of time due to a family emergency and our venue graciously swapped their meals for more cocktail hour food.

1 couple no showed due to illness that day.

So we had 66 people at the wedding. It was perfect.

If I may add, a lot of people made the trip that really (delightfully) surprised me. If I learned anything during my rsvp saga was not to assume anything!

We invited 183, had 46 declines, with 137 saying they'd show. We actually had only 3 no shows, which was surprising! Of course I never found out why for two of the three. The one was my cousin and it's just because he's lazy and didn't want to leave his house per my aunt and uncle.

Do the number of people invited mentioned in the messages include plus ones of the person invited?

We are still working on getting our RSVPs back (our respond by date is 7/25). But of the 165 guests we’ve invited we’ve gotten 102 responses with 96 yes and 6 no’s. So far the shock has been more the people saying yes rather than no!

My rsvp deadline is Monday. We invited 105 and so far we have 66 yes. Honestly We’re hoping for only about 75 because that was our original count but we had to send out to the people who we knew wouldn’t show so they can shut up about not getting an invite. Fingers crossed we don’t have no shows my wedding is next month.

Invited 80- expecting about 55 (RSVPs are due this weekend) hoping there won’t be any no shows because that number includes our bridal party, immediate family, and a few extras! It’s a Destination wedding for most people so if they say ‘Yes’ I hope they come! Lol!

We invited 202 I think (around there, maybe 203). We had 167 accept and 3 no shows due to illness.

We invited 174, 140 accepted (including 8 kids 12 and under) and we had 6 no-shows (4 due to serious illness who gave us some notice and 2 were plus-ones that we don't know why they weren't there).

We had about 20 right off the top of our heads that we didn't expect to come, and wanted to be in the 120-150 range, so it worked out perfectly.

We sent a ton of invites but knew that a lot of our guests lived too far away (like 70% of our guest list needed to fly to our wedding) and probably wouldn't attend, or definitely wouldn't attend if they had to fly and find a babysitter for their kids for the weekend! Smiley shame

We invited 256 people, had 183 RSVP yes, and only had like 4 no-shows and we got married in the middle of a hurricane!
