Me too! My mom and my sister didn’t say ANYthing . It was the deal we made lol. Bc I wanted to have the main opinion and not be influenced by them so I would say yes no. Things I liked and didn’t and then they would comment ALTHOUGH I could tell by their faces a few haha which was fine bc it was for pretty obvious reasons

Just my mom and I'm SO happy I did. I had 9 bridesmaids and my husband has a mom and a stepmom. It would have been way too much.

I think this is the best way because you’re not overwhelmed! My bridal party is small with big personalities!!!! Aaaaaah!

I went shopping with only one person, and it was perfect!

I actually brought the wife of one of our groomsmen. She isn't someone I'm close to or know that well at all, but I don't have any close girlfriends where I live (my mom and MOH are both out of state), and she and her husband were so excited for us when we got engaged. There's only one bridal shop within an hour of where we live, and she had gotten married a few years earlier and went there so was familiar with it and recommended it. I made an appointment for myself and was planning to go solo, but my FH suggested I bring someone and mentioned that she worked from home and could probably go (I made my appointment mid-week) so I invited her last minute, a little hesitantly, and was so glad I did. She was amazingly helpful - I wouldn't have been able to get on some of the dresses by myself - and it was awesome having someone there who was super invested in my happiness but had zero vision of what I should be or look like as a bride. She took photos of me in all the dresses, took photos of all the tags so I knew the designer and style name and color options and what sample size I tried on, rehung every dress for me after I tried it on, etc. She respected everything I said, coo'd at dresses, made great suggestions, and gave some great "real perspective" on what the process would be like if I bought a dress, had alterations done, etc. Afterward I texted my FH and thanked him so much for convincing me to bring her, because she was wonderful! Plus looking back now I've had to do a lot of my "bridal" things solo because my mom and MOH live several states away, and I think it would have made me really sad to not have anyone to share the experience of dress shopping with.

My dad, my aunt, FMIL, a bridesmaid. MOH was there via video chat as she is out of state.

It was fine because none of them would make me feel bad about a dress I love, but they would give their honest input.

We actually all agreed 100% on which dress was the one for me Smiley smile
