Almost all of our guests showed up that we invited except one and they talked about how they were looking forward to coming for months and then a family member became very ill right before the wedding so she couldn't make it.

Never assume people won't come, even if they haven't RSVP'ed.

Under no circumstances assume people won't travel. Although it is one of my fears that none of my guest will show. I've witnessed a couple plan a DW in hopes of getting away form the big wedding and 60 guest followed them to their destination. If people really love you they will support you.

Whatever you do make sure you can afford the bill if everyguest shows up. You don't want sticker shock after

Well my sister got married this past august, she invited 175 people and only 100 showed. Her wedding was 2 hours away and most pretty much all of my extended family did not come. So im expecting a turn out like gets bc of people didn't want to drive the 2 hours they won't want to drive 3. Plus than it's a factor of I didn't go to her wedding than I shoudnt go to the siblings.

Our venue holds 210 and currently we are at 216. And half of those guests are 8-12 hours away. Seeing your numbers makes me feel more confidant that it will all work out. (we are only inviting 202 to start) the other 14 are our co-workers. Mine all know they are on the B-list.

We invited 111, 94 RSVPd yes, and in the end we only had 87 show up. One couple got divorced shortly before the wedding, the reverend and his wife decided (apparently) the day of the wedding they wouldn't come, and my godmother got really sick the week of the wedding and couldn't make it. Its pretty annoying to know we payed for 7 people that weren't there. Oh well!
