How many mini cupcakes per person?

People useually eat 2 regular size cupcakes, 4 mini cc is about equal to a regular cc so I wanna say between 4-8 per person

3 a person? Are you buying them or making them yourself?

It depends, we had 2 cupcakes per person in our wedding day and not all of them where eaten...I would say 2-3 mini cupcake per person will be fine.

Im buying them, my baker makes them @3-4$ a dozen plain (extra filled etc. ) want to figure out my numbers before i start adding on tho

2-3 seems reasonable then, and at 4$ a doz. i can have some fun with it. great!

@kristian - we did minicupcakes as our favors. I did 2 per box and they were a huge hit. I would saw if you are using them in place of cake, 2-4 per person.

Nice, love your flavors (then again, who doesnt love chocolate!) I think maybe just rounding up to 200 mini cupcakes should be enough for everyone to have 3 with some extra!

Are you having other dessert as well, or just the cupcakes? I'd say 2 or 3 per person, if your only having cupcakes, maybe even 4?

No other desserts to speak of yet!

I think it also depends what you have for the rest of your meal - if you have a 5 course plated dinner with a cocktail hour, you probably just need more of a taste at the end (say 2 cupcakes). If you think people will still be hungry at the end, you can get maybe 3-4. (With the exception of teenage boys, I can't imagine many people would eat more than 3 cupcakes a person, even if they're mini.)

Ok think of how big a slice of wedding cake is --- it's usually about 4 inches long and an inch thick (guessing on size, but it's cut pretty thin I think) so if you use regular cupcakes then I think 1 per guest would be enough,but could do 2 (although I'd offer take home cupcake boxes if you do 2 in case someone doesn't want to eat both at that moment in time). Now think of the size difference between a full sized and a mini cupcake. I'd say 3-4 minis would equal close to 1 cupcake.

Where I live, a dozen mini's are $16.50 per dozen!!!
