I have only ever seen 1 or 2 in weddings, with the rest being bridesmaids. I personally had 2 - my sister & my bestfriend.

As many or as few as you want! One thing I would caution against is making everyone a maid of honor except for one person (for example, if you have three people you want to include, I wouldn't choose more than one maid of honor in that scenario). Most commonly, people have 1-2 maid of honors, and everyone else is a bridesmaid. Alternatively, you could also give the same title to everyone (either all bridesmaids or all maid of honors).

I have 2 because I was familially obligated to have my sister, even though we're not friends (#drama) but I of course wanted my best friend to be my MOH. Pick your people based on who will ACTUALLY help you plan things and be genuinely excited for you cause wedding party drama is so annoying and tbh you don't have time for it.

I have 2. I have both my future sister in laws but one is married so I have a matron of honor and maid of honor.

You can have a maid of honor and/or a matron of honor. Any more than that is a little weird IMO. I agree with the poster who said don't have more MOHs than you have bridesmaids, or then some people could feel left out.

I'm having both of my sisters as my matrons of honor (one is already married and the other will be married by the time I get married)! I would never be able to choose between them because I'm close to both of them. And I have 2 bridesmaids.

Typically one. It's becoming common to have two. I have a maid and matron of honor.

I've never seen more than one. But it's your wedding, so do you!

I would say the fewer the better. By few I mean 1 or 2 max. Generally the MOH is 'in charge' or 'head bridesmaid'. Too many people trying to be in charge or coordinating events can be very stressful. I don't think it would feel like much of an honor if everyone was Maid/Matron of Honor.

I have a maid of honor and matron of honor. My maid of honor is my sister, who has never been part of planning a wedding whereas my matron of honor has so they are tag teaming ideas. I wouldn't want more it could cause problems and too many opinions lol

I actually chose to not have a maid of honor, just bridesmaids 😊
