How many lanterns?

I'm renting a 40x60 pole tent and I'm not sure how many or what size lanterns I should get. I want them in different sizes but I also want them to cover the tent and be decorative.

I asked the lady at the rental place, thinking she may have dealt with other people who have used lanterns to decorate the tents, how many and she was clueless.

Can you ladies on WW help me decorate?

Paper lanterns? 40X60 is 2,400 square feet, and if each lantern was 12 inches then you would need 200 of them.

That's a lot but I was thinking of getting a few in 12 inches and a bunch of different sizes bigger in all my colors. I don't want to cover all the tent ceiling space but I do want the lanterns hanging different lengths.
