How many invited versus how many came?

How many people did you invite to your wedding and how many actually came? Was the number of attendees about what you expected or more or less? How many people did you invite to your wedding and how many actually came? Was the number of attendees about what you expected or more or less? Also how many, if any, came that weren't invited or brought a plus one when they weren't offered one? My venue has a maximum occupancy that's close to the number we are inviting so I'm trying to gauge if I can send out a few extra invites to people who I wanted to come but didn't make the list because we were over our max number. Thanks for your help!

It's frustrating gauging how many people are going to come. Half of our guestlist are on the other side of the country (and a decent amount abroad). We're inviting 225, but realistically, after talking to FMIL, we're only expecting about 150 to actually attend. That being said, we're fully prepared if somehow all 225 RSVP yes.

We are dealing with this as well! I've read on wedding planning sites to expect 10-20% drop off, depending on how much of your guest list is traveling out of state. It's higher if it's a destination wedding.

Since half our guest list lives overseas we are expecting 25-30% drop off. Inviting 175 and expecting around 130, but we would also be ok financially if 150 showed up. We already know after sending STDs that 20 or so people can't come.

I'm having the opposite issue.. my minimum for our date/venue is 8k and my budget is for 50 guests. I need at least 46 guests to show up to reach my minimum.

I learned on here to expect 100% attendance! Our venue holds 190 (not including vendors) so we are inviting 184 as of right now Smiley smile I don't expect any of my relationships to change drastically over the next 18 months but you never know.

This way we have some wiggle room to add one more couple and some space for uninvited guests who decide to show up lol
