I didn't realize until you asked this but all my vendors will be there roughly the same amount of time.

DJ said he starts setting up about 2 hrs before he starts playing and we will have him actively djing from 5-10, but he said he'd throw in an extra hour so 11 now I guess.

Photograper is 8 hrs, we are having her start pics around 2:00 PM and she will wrap up around 10 PM

Bartender will be 3 -11 so that he has plenty of time to set up everything.

The question to ask is if you are paying them for set-up time as well as the time they are working the actual wedding? The bartender I am paying for set-up, the DJ I'm not (it's included in his 5 hrs of playing), I don't know that the photographer needs much set-up time right?

For photography 6 hours is perfect if you don't want any "Getting ready shots"

My girl was there a total of 6 hours and she got a couple getting ready shots. She was actually only supposed to be there 4 hours. We were on a budget but she ended up staying later to get everything and came a little early and got a couple getting ready shots. Not many....

If you want alot of getting ready shots and if you want a first touch or first look, I say do the 8 hrs.

For us, From start to finish, our DJ was there from 4:30-10 pm. about 5 1/2 hours. he did our ceemony music as well as the reception....If you don't need him to do the ceremony, I say 4 hours is plenty for DJ..

    Photographers is all day unlimited

DJ is a friend we are paying a flat fee for, so again pretty much all day (music must be off by 11 at the venue)

Bartender we are having come at 6 to finish setting up last minute things, and will leave at 11. so 5 hours.

We are planning on ceremony starting about 4-5pm. Music has to be over by 11pm and clean up done by midnight. I am thinking 8 hours for the photographer and 6 for both DJ and Bartender.
