How many hours should i hire servers for?

Hello! I'm getting married next year and plan on having a buffet style dinner to feed 70 guests, including vendors. How long should I hire servers for? They'll only be serving food from the buffet, I don't need them for the cocktail hour and I'm hiring separate bartenders. Thanks in advance!

    I would check with your caterer for their standard timeframe. But some things to think about: do these servers need to set up the buffet, break it down/clean up after, and bus tables? Those decisions will inform how early you need them to arrive before dinner and how long to stay after it.

    I would guess 3 hrs. If you are including cocktail hour. Ask them what they normally do.

    Does your caterer not offer servers? They should be able to advise you on how long you will need the servers for.
