How many hours open bar will your venue allow?

I don't think there's a time limit on ours... our caterer is gonna charge us either corkage or by the drink, so I can't imagine them objecting to more open-bar time, and AFAIK there's no state limit.

The entire wedding the bar will be open. I know they are handing out glasses of champagne and strawberries as guests arrive at the venue!

My contract states that the bartender must serve all drinks, my venue doesn't supply alcohol but does supply the bartender. Everything is onsite, I guess we will have a short break to move from the outside bar to inside while we make our entrance, then another short break during dinner?

We decided to start the wedding at 3, so cocktail hour should start at 3:30. If I have no breaks the bar will be closed by 7:30! Just want to push it to 8, we have to be totally out of our venue by 9pm.

We have 5 hours with the option to keep it open if the amount of money we paid for 5 hours of open bar hasn't been met yet. We also have the option to extend if we want, so we'll just see how the night goes.
