We finally decided on a venue but we have to pay by the hour, so I'm not sure how many we need. The setup and tear down has to be included as well. This is what I have so far , does this look ok ? Setup - 3 hours (1pm-3pm) Ceremony - (3pm-4pm) - Different Location Drive time to reception - 30...

Our venue rental is for 12 hours, and everything is in one place. We get it at 2 PM, the ceremony is at 6, the reception ends at 1 AM, and we have to be out with all of our stuff by 2 AM. We are getting ready there and doing a first look, so I do wish we had another hour or so but not enough to pay the high hourly rate beyond our allotted time.

From the time the guests arrive before the ceremony to the end of the reception (they are in the same place), we have 5.5 hours. A little shorter than I would prefer, but the venue is a working greenhouse until 6 p.m. so we can't start before then. Oh well!

    This is our timeline:

    Getting ready: 11 am - 2 pm

First look, kebutah signing, bridal party photos: 3 - 4:30 p.m.

    4: 30 - 5 pm: drive to venue

5 - 6 pm: set up (the venue does most of it - we just have to put out photos, guest book, seating chart sign, etc.

    6 - 6:30 pm: extended family photos

    6:30 - 7 pm: seating/cocktails

    7 - 7:45 pm: ceremony

7:45 - 8 pm: venue staff moves chairs from ceremony to around the tables, we hug and visit and get drinks

    8 - 9 pm: dinner

    9 - 10 pm: dancing

    10 pm: cake

    10:15 - 11:50 pm: dancing

    11:50 pm: glowstick exit

    midnight: reception ends, everybody leaves

12 am - 1 am: throw our photos, signs, gifts in the rented van. Venue handles most of the tear-down.
