How many dresses did you try before you found THE ONE?

4, but I tried on about a dozen more and then went back for it.

And purchased the first one I picked out!

I went to 3 different stores, tried on probably 20+ dresses, and ended up choosing the last one I tried without having to think about it at all (right after I got done telling my stylist that I didn't think I'd pick one that day). I'd seen a photo of my dress a couple of years ago and had been picturing myself in it since then and it ended up working out perfectly when I finally tried it on. I tell you that because I found something large or small wrong with every dress I tried on before it, but still wanted to try some different ones first. Is it possible you're in a similar situation? Everyone's experience is different, though, and I don't think everyone necessarily has the "this is the one" moment.

I think I tried on about 30-35 dresses. I found the one after the 12th dress or so, but had to try on more at other stores just to be sure. I also changed my dress order 3 times. Dress regret is a real thing! I'm finally happy with my dress now, thank goodness. It'll happen for you eventually!

2 shops about 10 at the first and 5 at the second. I knew my dress was the 3rd one I tried. Try on as many as needed & don't get discouraged. You'll find it.

Five before the one but then tried on 5 more after to make sure

I tried on about 30. I just kept narrowing down what I liked and didn't like until I found the one that had everything I was looking for. I went shopping by myself and i am so happy I chose to do so. I cried when I found my dress and the thought of anyone taking that moment from me because they didn't like it would have killed me. You'll find the one. It's out there somewhere.

I got a dress that was nearly perfect after trying on 10 dresses. I am having it altered to make it exactly what I want (neckline).

I went to 7 shops and my dress was at the last store. I probably tried on easily 90 dresses. Im so glad I didn't settle! I have no dress regret and love love love my dress

The very first dress I tried on was the one. I tried on a lot more just to make sure but it was definitely the one

My dress was the first one I put on! But it wasn't the last. Actually decided on a different dress then changed my mind 2 months later

I had looked online and found a dress I loved. I was riding through town one day and saw it in a wedding shop's window. I went in, tried it on and it fit perfectly. It was also a great price. I got it! So I tried on one dress.

I think one thing you could do is if there is something you wish the dress had or didn't have, talk to a seamstress about it. I couldn't find a gown I wanted with sleeves so I decided I would add sleeves during alterations. This made shopping much easier because if a dress was missing a certain something but I otherwise loved it, I added to the list of what I would add/change during alterations. I had my seamstress add sleeves, some lace, and buttons down the back of my gown because that was the only way to get the dress I was picturing in my head. If you love a gown but there's just one thing you don't like, you can always add to it and/or alter it to suit your vision!

Also, I made sure to try on all sorts of silhouettes, necklines, and fabrics as well as strapless, sleeveless, and sleeved gowns. I always envisioned myself in an A-line gown but ended up with a sheath. I never would have known I loved that look until I tried one on!
