How many donuts is too many donuts?!

Planning to make a donut cake (see pic below for inspo) for our wedding. This will be the main dessert, along with a “candy bar”. We are planning about 140 guest, who many donuts do you suggest we order to make this? Any advice is appreciated!

Love the donut idea! I would assume two donuts per person. You’ll have some who’d only get one or none. I think it’ll be a good idea to have more than enough than not enough. What all are you including in the candy bar?

Following this post! We are also having a donut tower in the shape of a wedding cake! With our cake on top, which is just a big version of the bakery’s most prized donut. We’ll also have a tray off to the side with more donuts. We’ll have around 115 guests I think. Originally was thinking 150 donuts but I am thinking potentially more now!

Yum I love donuts! I agree with Imani and would probably aim for 2 donuts a person you can also have some to go boxes at the ready if there are any extras. If people are serving themselves you will have people who won't take any and then there will be people who may take a bunch. Another option would be to have a smaller tower of large donuts and then have trays of minis or munchkins around it. Good luck!
