How many days off?

How many days off of work did you take before your wedding? I am trying to plan my vacation time and am not sure if I should just take the Friday before off or more? What did you do?

Our wedding is on a Friday, so obviously I will have that day off but I will most likely take Thursday off as well and maybe a 1/2 day on Wednesday - it really depends on how much needs to be done for the wedding at that point and how much stuff I will still need to do at work - Since FH and I are leaving for our HM the Sunday following the wedding I will need to make sure all of my work stuff is taken care of for that upcoming week.

Ultimately I am planning on taking Thursday 9/15 - Sunday 9/25 off for the wedding and honeymoon

I'm taking the Thursday & Friday off before the wedding and then Monday & Tuesday afterwards. We aren't going on a honeymoon right away but I need a few days to unwind and just relax with my new husband. I'm thinking of taking Wednesday off too. The idea of going back to work after the wedding just doesn't sit well with me .. lol

I currently have Tues-Fri off before, but have been debating myself about changing it to Wed-Fri. It's hard b/c at this point I don't know if I'll need the extra day to de-stress or not haha. We have 2 weeks minus 2 days after the wedding

Tentatively, I am taking the week before and the week after off. My mom will be in the whole week before, so I will be able to spend some time with her.

I've been wondering the same thing. Do I take off the day before or not. We'll see I guess.

Luckyliy i'm not working right now, but FH is and he has to work till the day of the wedding, then he has vaca. see his job has it set up to were his vaca has to start on a sun and our wedding is a sun and he only gets a week off, so he has to work that sat, and then start vaca on that sun, which means i'll be having to do his part as well as mine to help him out

My wedding is on a Sunday so I will not be taking off any work days. I go into work around 2pm and will be done around 11pm that Friday night. So I am hoping I will be able to get all my last minute things done in the mornings leading up to the wedding.

Its too much hassel to find a replacement and I would rather not take off for the wedding and save my days off for the honeymoon. I'm hoping my decision is a good one?!?!?!?

I'm taking off Wed-Thursday, and two weeks after that. My wedding is on a Friday so Wednesday I'll hang out with the FH and Thursday it's mommy and me day and the rehearsal dinner. Friday is the wedding and Saturday is the post wedding brunch. I leave for my honeymoon on Sunday.

My daughters wedding was on a Saturday. She took Thursday and Friday, before the wedding, off.

Although, I will say that I was her wedding planner, so she really didn't have anything to do on those two days, other than relax, attend the Bridesmaids Luncheon and that threw on Thursday and pack for her honeymoon.
