How many cups?!?

Megan, on May 19, 2019 at 4:28 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 8
Hi everyone!
We are planning to have 9 oz - wine/lemonade
12 oz - beer
16 oz - water or lemonade

i have no clue how many of each to order! Not everyone will be drinking both beer and wine I’d assume. Help??
Invited about 170, expecting maybe closer to 100.

It would probably be best to just use one size for everything. Ordering multiple sizes could mean having too many of one size and not enough of another. Plus, you could just pour 6 oz of wine into a 12 oz cup.

Very good point - we will have a bartender (friend - not a company) so do you think that would make it easier or no?

How is the beer being served? Cans, bottles, or draft? I only ask this because a 12oz beer will fill a 12oz cup to the brim and 5oz of wine in a 16oz cup might look....small.

    I'm choosing 9oz and 16oz for mine.

    We're doing 200-250 guests.
22 oz. Cups for soda and beer - ordering 300
    9oz for wine - 200

The 22oz are stadium cups and we will be using the leftovers in our home.

The 9oz leftovers will become party cups til we run out.

Beer is being served draft! I like the idea of just doing 9 & 16 oz!

I really have no idea how many cups to get, I'm currently struggling with this myself.

The caterer is providing plastic cups for the drinks they provide - water, tea, and lemonade. No clue on the cup size for that.

I am trying to find nice hard plastic cups but at minimum I'm looking at 9 oz cups for wine and 14-16 oz cups for beer and soda.

We are having 45 guests total and I am expecting to need approximately 250 cups. I would rather overbuy than run out. Our reception will be 5 hours long.
