How many centerpieces per long rectangle tables? Will this all be decoration overkill?

For those doing a horseshoe style seating arrangement with longer rectangle tables, how many centerpieces will you be using per table? We will be having one 8 foot long table and two 6 foot tables. The guests will be all facing my fiancé and I who will he getting married in front of the fire place in a barn. Would the eight foot long rectangle table look too empty with only one centerpiece in the middle? What about for the two 6 foot long ones? We will be having y’all vases with both ostrich and peacock feathers with some mason jar fairy lights and maybe some Froebel stars laid around the middle, or we were just considering doing the feather vases with light up tin stars sitting on top of a silver glitter circular place mat. We are also having starry night sky lighting and maybe doing either a constellation map or globe as our guest book. We also have a moon photo booth. We are doing a starry night theme. What do you all think? My bouquet might have fairy lights in it. We are also considering doing star ornaments as favors for the guests. I will be wearing a starburst crown also. The wedding colors are silver she navy. Our cake will look like a night sky that lights up. Would this be decoration overkill, especially with the ostrich and peacock feathers in a tall vase near either light up tin stars or blue mason fairy light containers?

Love your theme. I would set something up on a table and see what you think. I’m having 10’ long tables at my reception and am using 1 main large centerpiece then 2 small items towards the ends of the table.

    Hey Marla!

Your wedding sounds absolutely spectacular! I certainly think that testing out what your centerpieces look like on your tables to see if it looks like too much or too little.

My suggestion (without seeing them) would be to have one centerpiece on each 6ft table and perhaps 2 slightly smaller centerpieces on the 8ft table.

We had 8ft rectangular tables and I originally wanted 3 small centerpieces on each. However, our florist said the labor for that would be more intensive and therefore more expensive than one regular sized centerpiece per table. So that's what we did and I chose a vase style that was oval shaped and table runners to fill up more of visual space.
