I didnt get to chose my ring. We didnt go ring shopping together. So i missed out on that. I was very close to my grandmother so when she passed away a year ago she left me her engagement ring. I love it! It reminds me of her.

Zero. I have a 4 ct amethyst, no diamonds on sterling.

Mine is a 1.05 center and .5 in the band. In looking at rings now with my sister I feel like different shapes look bigger too. She is looking at Princess cuts and her 1ct Princess made mine look smaller despite being the same size. I also know how your FH feels as mine did splurge because he was feeling the same way with purchasing a smaller one at first. I love mine, but would have been fine with the smaller one as well.

I don't think yours looks small at all and it is beautiful..

Your ring is gorgeous! I think mine has a total carat weight of 1 carat but the center stone is also about .50. He listened to what I liked and picked this out for me and that makes me the most happy!

Mine is about 2 carats!

All together it's about one carat...he actually surprised me with this ring for my birthday he proposed to me with a different ring. I was so shocked and told him that he didnt have to do that but he told me that I deserved better! I love him so much 🥰😊

I've seen plenty with small stones or not even traditional diamonds, as long as you love it, then it's fine!

My ring is small but it was not the size of the ring that mattered to me the ring was just late mother’s ring and he wanted to give to the person he loved more than anything ( other than his daughter) I will love and cherish this ring forever.

My ring with the band is a little over a carat. I tried on bigger rings but it just didnt look right with my small hands

I told my FH that he could have given me a ring from a gumball machine for all I cared (although we did pick out the ring together, sort of. He had it custom made). The most important thing to me is that when I look at it, it reminds me of how in love I am with him and how I can't wait to start the next chapter of our future together. Just remind him of that and tell him to stop worrying about the size of the diamond and what other people think, this is your love not theirs. But if he really wants, he can always upgrade for your anniversary.

My ring is 1 carat altogether. The center diamond is 1/2 carat and the other diamonds all equal to 1/2 carat

Just thought of something else to remind him - when you get your wedding band, you’ll have tons of options to compliment the already gorgeous ring he got you! If it was too big it might overshadow the band.

Mine is 1.5, but I don’t think there is a right or wrong size! If you love it that’s what counts! It’s special cause it’s from his heart!
