My daughter is planning her wedding party, she has 3 sisters who she wants in her wedding along with her childhood best friend. Her fiancé has 4 sisters, 2 are near her age and 2 are teenagers. We had a total of 11 members in our wedding party (7 were my bridesmaids/bridesmen). There was no drama, but it was expensive in terms of bouquets and gifts.

Remind your daughter that each of those 8 girls will need a bouquet and she will need to buy gifts for all of them. Remind her that if she has a rehearsal, she has to pay for all 8 at the rehearsal dinner WITH their significant others. All of that can add up. If her budget is big enough to accommodate, go for it. There's nothing wrong with a big bridal party if you can afford it.

Also if there's a Bachelorette party, the plans might have to be adjusted around the teenage bridesmaids being included.

I don't think that's too many I have a friend who had 12 bridesmaids in her wedding party!

It's pushing on being too large(imo, but that's me, not her) , but 8 should be just fine! Just have her remember the costs involved! Sounds like a lot of fun to have that many get ready with you, like a party with the bridal party.

Has anyone ever had 15 bridesmaids? I’m just future planning here.. (not engaged yet) but just don’t want anyone to feel offended or lose anyone as a friend over this. If I don’t make someone a bridesmaid.
