How many bridesmaids are too many?

I think it’s personal preference if you want 8 go for it. I’ve seen a wedding have more than that before.

I agree that it's def. personal preference, but where I'm from 8 def. isn't too many! I have 4 but that's also because I'm very picky with who I'm close with.

Some things to consider - 1) it's a lot of opinions, are you ready to field all of that? 2) it's a lot of schedules to coordinate and less likely that everyone will be available at the same time for pre-wedding activities (i.e. showers, bach parties, etc), and 3) it's additional expense for you - at your rehearsal dinner (+their spouses), bridal party gifts, and other things you are paying for (i.e. hair/makeup, getting ready outfits, etc.). Totally a personal choice; I would just make sure to consider all of those things!

I didn’t think about rehearsal dinner but they don’t have spouses so that’s not horrible. Thank you for all of the reality with it.

You can have as many as you want! I have 6 total (2 being MOH) while my husband is having 8 for our upcoming big wedding

I am having 6 with 2 juniors! It's your day girl if you want 8, have 8!

I am having 5 Brides maids, 1 jr bridesmaid, 2 flower girls so I have 8 it depends on what you want

That is subjective. Some people see 3-4 as too many and others see 8+ as too many. Keep in mind the expenses of hair/makeup, gifts, rehearsal dinner.

Me personally I think more than 4-5 is too many to handle.

No, it's your wedding! There's no rules, do what makes you happy!!! I have 8 bridesmaids and 2 maids of honor...plus my flower girl!! LOL, I'm doing what I want, not following any tradition!

It’s truly just however many you’re comfortable with having! There’s no set number that’s too many if they truly are important to you and you want them to be more involved

I have 8 and the drama is REAL. Wish I had a smaller party!
