Hey future mrs! I want to know everyone’s proposal story’s and how long do you have left of your until you are married to your best friend! My fiancé and my family involved. My older brother passed away when we happened to be really young. Cody went to my parents and asked for my hand in marriage and asked to do it at my brothers grave. Of everyone said that it was a great idea and a perfect way to make sure all of my siblings had been involved. I was helping my dad and brother clean the garage out and when my mom came home she FREAKED out. I kind of had a feeling what was going on. She was wondering how I broke my thumb acrylic off. I always have nice looking nails. I try to keep them looking good. Anyway she told me that we are going to take family pictures. So everyone needed to dress up. We went to my brothers girlfriends graduation party and I knew something was fishy. While I was getting ready I heard Cody freaking out and sweating pretty bad. He was on the phone with I want to say my mom. It had started to down poor and it wasn’t supposed to stop at all. Well we still went. And as soon as we turned to head towards Colten’s grave it stopped raining. That’s when I got all my tears out. Was when we turned. When Cody asked me of course I was shocked but no tears happened. They had left just minutes before. As soon as I said yes we rushed to the store he got it at. He wasn’t going to ask my until a few weeks later but he couldn’t wait any longer so we had to send it into get sized to my finger. Now we have 93 days left and I can not wait to say I do. It’s happening so so fast. Enjoy it but don’t get super stressed. If you have to change things up do it. It’s your day and your lovers day. No one else should have a say or question what you have planned for your special day.

We got engaged in Madrid 🇪🇸 last year. We had talked about doing one really big fancy dinner on trip, and we had made reservations at a Michelin starred restaurant. As i was getting ready my FH disappeared for awhile. He was also really quiet during the can ride. After we ordered he said he had to go to the bathroom. He was gone awhile and I was kind of weirded out but he came back with a few waiters, one of whom was broadcasting live on FB, one who had the ring and one with champagne. He got down on one knee and that was that. Turns out earlier when I was getti g ready he was having the conseirge set all the details with the restaurant. We have 7 weeks to go!

    Congratulations!

My fiancée and I met 5 years ago (almost exactly, actually!) at a bar. Apparently I was staring at him quite a bit (whoops!) so he came over to talk to me. The rest is history. We will be married 08/08/2020- so just under a year to go! We have been engaged since February. I am obsessed with airplanes and told him at the beginning of our relationship that I would love to find a cool spot to watch the planes land at a big airport nearby. I forgot I had said that to him, but he said afterwards that he has always planned on that being the proposal spot. It was the dead of winter, there was no one around, and it was freezing. He took me to the top of this hill that is a lookout spot and I was looking at the planes through binoculars (so nerdy)… I turned back around and he was behind me on 1 knee. My poor friend was hiding in the bushes taking pictures and slipping on the ice the whole time trying to get a good shot. Ha ha.

Beautiful story, good FH right there! ❤️

FH and I have known each other since we were 12, we were long distance gaming buddies. He was my best friend. Our awesome parents allowed us to meet(with their supervision in case one of us was an old creep), once they found out we were just kids we were allowed to visit each other every summer and Christmas. Over the years we fell in love and we were both welcomed by the families. They knew we would get married long before we ever did.
So backstory out of the way, one night we were spending summer together, just eating pizza and having a good time. He looked at me kind of funny and just asked if I’d be his wife.

Now he felt embarrassed the day after, he felt like “an ass” for no grand proposal or ring even if I’d already said yes, so he said he wants a re-do lol, that his emotions got the better of him and that I deserve “a better proposal than that” so we picked out a ring that I helped design and we were supposed to go to a fancy restaurant, but I got really sick and had to stay in bed. FH wore his nice outfit and proposed on one knee in front of the bed. We had a celebration dinner once I was feeling better.
I proposed to him months later with a ring of his own(he wanted one but felt guilty)

So that’s THREE proposals for one couple! Ridiculous. Only the pizza one counts. 🍕

We were leaving her aunt's house shortly after midnight New Year's. We were packing up the car and I asked her to help me put something in the trunk. I popped the trunk and when she opened it there was a hand painted sign (on gift wrap cuz I'm classy) "will you marry me?" She turned around and while I'm holding the ring box in my hand replies, "SHUT UP!" **
    "Shut up?" I ask
    "No, no, no" she says
"No?" I ask (taunting her at this point because she's clearly shocked)
"YES! Of course I will marry you!"She replies.
And then put the ring on.
312 days to go. On our wedding day we will be together 14 years. Our STDs say at the bottom: 14 years in the making!

** two days before the proposal we were watching America's funniest home videos or something and after a proposal the woman said "Shut up!" I commented on how weird and kinda rude it was to say that after being proposed to. We don't say shut up ever.

My fiancé and I dated all through high school and broke up after graduation to go to different colleges. We dated other people but two years later our paths crossed again and we were both single and he tells me he never stopped thinking about me. We started dating again and less than a year later, he proposed to me on the beach while we were on vacation telling me he just couldn't wait any longer! When we told his mother about our engagement she said "when he was dating (ex-girlfriend), he told me that if he ever had another chance with you he would take it in a heartbeat"! Between the two of them, I was crying happy tears for about two days lol Smiley heart

Aww your story is so sweet! I love how much thought he put into it!

The months leading up to when FH proposed I had a feeling he was planning something. It started when he took out a loan from the bank, too big for the new tires he said he was using it to buy. So I asked him and he said he was going to get new tires, a new laptop, and another big purchase and left it at that. So I started getting an idea of his plans then. Then he started asking my opinion on a gemstone engagement ring instead of a diamond, at this point we've been together almost 5 years and talked about marriage often so it wasn't too weird him asking that. Then one night my dad "needed his help" with something and he was over my dads house for like 4 hours while I'm just sitting home alone, I knew something was up at this point.

On 11/2/18, exactly 5 years after our first date, he took me out for dinner. We were standing outside in a patio area waiting for our buzzer to go off. To kill time, I was looking through what was in my jacket pockets from the last time I wore it. So here I am, my hands full of old receipts and napkins and then he gets on his knee and asks me to marry him. I awkwardly stuff the trash back into my pocket and said yes ... and then I also said thank you because i just started blabbering words Smiley xd There was even a crowd of people who were just outside having a drink who started cheering for us in the background.

We are 394 days away and I can't wait!

That is such a touching story!

FH and I have been together 5 1/2 years. We were together just over 3 years when he asked my dad and my brother for their blessings. He knows how much both my father and my brother mean to me.

For the proposal our families are very close so when FH told me we were going to one of our favorite restaurants with everyone for dinner I thought nothing of it. What was strange was that he told me to dress up and he also dressed up. Were not the kind to dress up to go out to dinner. Then, a little bit into the dinner FH stood up to make a speech. That was not like him AT ALL. He was thanking everyone for being there and saying how much he and I care about our family and at the end of the speech was when he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I said yes and began crying of course. We started our engagement at 700 something days and are down to 36 today! Crazy how fast time has flown by especially since we still have so much to do!

My fh proposed while on a snowboarding trip. He had planned the trip for the sole purpose of proposing. Idk how I didn’t see it coming. He kept bugging me to take pictures the whole day before (odd since that’s usually me bugging him). And he told me we were moving to a different hotel half way through the trip because it was “cheaper” (he actually booked a room at a really night hotel for the night of). It was perfect. Later he told me he wanted to purpose on the mountain but since we didn’t have a trip planned for that year he was going to wait until the following year, but then he realized he didn’t want to wait anymore so he booked us a trip last minute.

We have 162 days left and I just can’t wait to marry him. It’s been a long time coming, we celebrate 12 years together this December.

So jealous of all these sweet stories! We dated for a little under 2 years and didn't really talk about getting married (he's been married twice before and I have been married once). He made the mistake of telling his 12 year old so the whole week prior she was like "dad, hey dad, dad how about now" so I kind of had an idea. The day he proposed his 6 year old had a massive 4 hour temper tantrum, I was irritated and cranky, and we went for a walk. 12year old kept being annoying on the walk with the "hey dad" stuff so when he finally dropped to his knee I said "NO!" and walked away....oops. 21 days til we are married!

These are so amazing! For me, I used to work in Paris and was going back to visit friends. FH and I had picked out the stones for my ring 7 days before we left for France. So I knew a ring/proposal was going to happen, I assumed months in the future. Who makes a ring in less than 7 days? FH arranges a 1 day/night trip to the south of France for dinner. The restaurant was in a castle overlooking the Meditteranean sea. We sit thru a 7 course meal, champagne and a bottle of wine, he then leaves for the bathroom....I thought he was ill from all the creamy food. He comes back with a waitress who has a very large tray with rose petals and a large gift box. I thought the gift was a necklace thinking the ring could not be made in time. Opened the box which had another big box. Opened the second box which had the ring in it. Crying my eyes out at this tray/ring, I look up and the restaurant staff is smiling and clapping and Future hubby is on one knee. A moment I will never, ever forget....Engagement was on July 3, 2018, wedding was on August 10th 2019.

I love this!! My fiancé was hoping Rapunzel's tower was closer than it was so he could propose in front of that - he opted for the tree of life since we love adventures. The trip was so special!

I planned a Disney trip back in April & hinted at my boyfriend that it'd be perfect to propose. So the year before the trip he was thinking of where to do it. He was going to wait until Magic Kingdom but said he loved my outfit I was wearing for Animal Kingdom & decided to do it then. It was going to be at Pandora, but he couldn't find a photographer (thankfully bc the lighting early in the morning was AWFUL). After lunch we were walking to a ride and crossed in front of the tree of life & I stopped him for a picture & that's when he proposed!
I did see him pull the box out of the backpack, but still didn't have enough time to react. He got down on one knee and just gave me a big smile and didn't say anything for like 30 seconds so I finally said, are you gonna ask me something??? It's so funny to me now.

104 days left! Disney world engagement in Hollywood studios:
My FH chose a park that not many people propose in at Disney world and because of that the entire park knew we were getting engaged that night! Word gets around I guess Lol. They were so excited for us and the opportunity to make it magical. He planned with the park (I was shopping, he “had to go to the bathroom”) for us to get engaged during the Hollywood studios pre firework show Disney movie magic. We had gone to a dessert party and they chose us to lead everyone to the veiwing area so we would have a prime location with few people. He watched it before we went and chose the perfect time to propose during my two favorite movie scenes. (Beauty and the beast and Mary poppins) The park went all out for us! They let him have a personal photo pass photographer to capture the dark photos, gave us extra fast passes for our trip and we were given gifts from the cast members themselves. As were were walking out we kept getting congratulations from all the cast memebers who had seen the photos. It was magical.
