My FH and I was together for three months and got engaged. We are currently going on nine months. We met online and we both knew, we want to spend the rest of our life together. Too soon for some but for US we knew. ❤👨⚕️👸🏾

DH and I met through a video dating company - before the internet, lol. We were each other's first dates through the company and were engaged 29 days after meeting, married less than 5 months later and just celebrated our 25th anniversary. When you know, you know! Congrats on your engagement!
We have been dating for almost 6 years and will be getting married on 9/15/18! So excited to continue this lifelong journey with my forever best friend!!
We were together for 4 years before we got engaged. Our engagement will be a year long. We just celebrated 5 years together. It also helps that we have lived together for 4 years so far.
Wow ours is exactly like yours. I was dating someone for 7 years and he gave me the run around every time we talked about getting married. I couldn’t waste any more time then I met my fiancé and he said he knew it right away the moment he met me. I concur too.
6 years being in love and almost 2 years dating. About a year dating and living in the same city. (There is a difference) my marriage and family therapist professor recommended about 2 years dating and living in the same city.
3.5 years, but we knew we wanted to be together for the rest of our lives like 3 years before we even started dating. (We were in high school and it was a love at first sight kind of thing, he was always too shy to talk to me).

My professor also recommended that if the person isn't seriously considering marriage after 2 years (to leave him or her because they might have commitment issues.) Of course that depends on age. I wouldnt tell a 16 year old to get engaged in 2 years
FH and I got engaged 3 months after dating, too! We met at work over a year before and we were always friends. We were both in previous relationships when we met, and there was always that chemistry there but we figured nothing was going to happen.
Fast forward a year later and our relationships ended, we decided to give it a chance. Almost immediately we knew that this is it and that we’re getting married. After our 5th date we were talking about marriage and kids with each other. And here we are now, 10 months engaged ☺️ It’s so true, when you know you know! And timing is also important too
