I originally responded on the honeymoon right after the wedding in March, but... We got excited and started trying last week 😂. I've been taking care of children (family and work) for over 13 years, so it's not as big of a shock to my system as it is for others. I'm freaking ready.... Plus I'm 29 and not wanting to wait much longer
We would like to enjoy some time with just us two as a married couple before we bring little babies into the picture. So yes to babies, but just not immediately.
Update: I tried to convince my FH on having a baby right after getting married and he wrote a 2.5 page papers with 3 sources as to why that is a bad idea.
We want to wait 2-3 years. Just like most people, would like to travel and build a solid foundation. P.S. We moved from being just friends to being engaged. WE NEED TO DATE!

Definitely! I was just referring to the often cited statistics that it goes down dramatically in your 30s. They came up with those numbers based on birth rates over 100 years ago.
Same here! We are teachers and would love to time it so my maternity leave would back up to summer break. For multiple reasons including not having to put a newborn into childcare.
Unfortunately, due to some medical issues, I can't even begin to guess. We did start going to a fertility specialist about 6 months after getting married, so does that count?
This will be my 2nd wedding so probably a year or 2 after marriage. That would make me 35 and a first time mom lol. My FH will be nearly 40. We joke that we will be retired by the time we have a baby. 🤣

Yes! Thank you for saying this! It is important that we talk about the fact that this is a myth (even though many people are still told this!).
