The “best” place is so subjective and really depends – do you like to be outdoors when you travel or would you prefer to explore city scapes? Do you want to see a trendy and modern urban jungle or would you prefer somewhere rich in history? Do you want to enjoy the cold and snow or soak up the sun?

I would pick a location based on where you and your partner have dreamt of going and go for as long as work and finances permit you to go for 😊

We’re definitely doing 2 different honeymoons for a week each 😅 one for relaxing and the other for adventure!

This is very subjective and depends on your interests. I always have 2 weeks off in October and prefer Italy/France or the fall foliage on the East Coast (Boston, Rhode Island, New York, DC).

How long can you be away from work or school? We decided that 2 weeks off was reasonable so the honeymoon will be 6 days and I'm taking off the week before the wedding. This factored in to the plan because we didn't want to spend 2+ days of the vacation flying or jetlagged. So we're taking nonstop flights to Mexico! All-inclusive resort, just me and him, relaxing and drinking, and a couple of excursions for the adventure!

Is there an affordable way to do that?? We'd love to go to Australia, but everything seems to be on the pricey side.

I think it truly depends on timing! We are going for three weeks total 1 week in three different places of the world we have always wanted to go to!

I think the airfare would be the most expensive part of the whole thing. We have a whole bunch of air bnb's and things like that that you could use for cheaper accommodation and then you can buy your own food and that makes it cheaper as well. It would also depend on how many cities you wanted to visit in your time here as to how much you would have to pay for domestic flights. It is a pretty amazing place to visit though Smiley smile.

I got married last October! My honeymoon was two weeks. We left two days after our wedding. The first week we spent in Orlando, which we split between Disney World and Universal Studios. Then the second week, we went on a cruise through the Caribbean. I will say that in terms of weather, that was a great time to be in Florida because it was still warm but in a comfortable way. I also felt that two weeks was just the right amount of time for a honeymoon, but it will all depend on what kind of time off you can get from your job. I saved up most of my PTO last year specifically for my honeymoon, and that just about took care of my PTO for the year, unlike the year before where I was scrambling to use it all by New Year's Eve.

This is such a hard question to answer... there is no 1 answer or a right answer. The best place is anywhere you're with your new spouse, right?! I would say there's several factors to consider when picking somewhere. What do you want out of the honeymoon (relaxation, adventure, all-in-one, adults only, beach, mountain, etc.)? What can you afford? How long can you go? I've known some people to go away somewhere relatively local for 2 nights and others to travel for 3 weeks. I'd say at least a week is nice, but whatever you can do will be just fine.

Your honeymoon should last as long as you and your partner want it to be. I think 5-7 days is a good chunk of time for a honeymoon. My honeymoon is 10 days long and I am quite excited to spend some good quality time with my future husband to be.

Ours was a week and it was great. We did heaps of stuff in that time and also had time to have down time if we needed it. It was really good to be able to do both and just having the time away was nice Smiley smile Especially after the busyness of the wedding and planning.

Honeymoon should be as long as you guys want, can afford, and can get the time off for.

As far as destination it kind of depends on your travel style and what you like to do. Do you want to sit by a beach? Then a tropical destination. Do you want to shop? Then a big city like Paris or London. Do you want adventure? Museums? It just depends.

I would like to have at least one week. In a dream scenario 2-4 weeks would be incredible.
