How long do you want to wait/did you wait to have kids after marriage?

My husband and I actually got pregnant on our wedding night. We weren't planning on getting pregnant that fast, but now we are expecting our little one in June. We are really young, only 20 and 21 but we have been together for 6 years already. We've previously had a miscarriage so we are just praying for a healthy full term baby!

My FH and I are undecided on children right now. Some days we want them, some days we're like "Eh, we enjoy being an Aunt and Uncle." But if we decide to have kids, we have talked about waiting 3-5 years to start trying. Partially, because we want to have time together just the two of us before we bring another member into the mix, and partially because of financial reasons. I think whenever you and your husband are ready, you're ready!

DH and I are not preventing right now, so whatever happens, happens. If I'm not pregnant by summer we're going to actively TTC, but I'm already tracking my cycles just to become familiar.

We got married at 26, when I had just started grad school. We had our first son when I was done with school and just finishing up my internship, at 30.
