How long did it take? For him to put a 💍 on it

5.5 years! We were in no hurry. We have been engaged a year and one more to go!

4.5 years! I wanted to get engaged 2 years in, but thank goodness we waited. We really got to know each other, grow up together, live together, and figure out if we would work as husband and wife. We've been engaged since January 2019, getting married January 2020!! Can't freaking wait ♥

Well my answer is two-fold. We got together when we were 21, he proposed when we were 22, refused to set a wedding date for 5 years until I ended up giving the ring back (not breaking up with him) and then he proposed again 5 years later after 10 years together! 😂 by the time we get married it will be twelve years. Waiting was the hardest thing in the world!

6 years, we started dating when I was 18 so we had to wait until I was done with college 😊

About a year and a half! We started talking marriage around the year mark, my now husband is older than me by a good bit and was ready to settle down, and so was I! So neither of us wanted to wait once we knew that it was meant to be!

We had been together for 5 years when he proposed.

FH admitted he knew he wanted to marry me after 8 months but because he wanted the time to be right, his plan was to propose to me on our cruise which made it at 1 yr and 4 months.

4.75 months. I knew it was coming at some point. He accidentally let honeymoon plans slip and then we were engaged.

Just under 5 years! When we get married, we will have been together just under 7 years! Time flies

Well, it took a month or less for us to start talking about life together, less than six months to talk about getting married, but how we wanted to wait at least a year and he would prefer over two because of past relationship drama. At our two year anniversary we shopped for and a few weeks later found and purchased rings, now we are actively planning our wedding and securing dresses, venues, etc...... he still hasn't made the formal proposal (though he offered to let me take pics with the ring on *rolls eyes*). I am being patient because I know he was hurt pretty badly and now that he has found someone he can trust he wants to do something special and wants the when and what to be a surprise. He has also started securing the honeymoon....a surprise also. So I'm waiting. We just celebrated 27 months together.

It took 18 days shy of 4 years. Haha We started dating during our senior year of high school and in college agreed that we'd wait until we were nearing the end of our senior years. He ended up proposing during Spring Break of our senior year!

8...years.. lol but I really wasn't ready to get engaged until like year 5? I started late with a career, buying a house and all that.

5 years, we have currently been dating for 6 years.

3 years, but I felt it was good timing with us moving forward career-wise and transitioning into a long-distance relationship shortly after that.
