How long before a baby 🍼

I'm 26 and he is going to be 31 a few days after the wedding. We want to be debt free and half way to a down payment before I stop BC. So it will probably be about 8 months to a year before we start trying.

I have a lot of friends who have really struggled to get pregnant and their number one advice is to start trying earlier than you think you need to. One friend was married for 4 years before they started trying and it's over 4 years later and they are just figuring out what is wrong. FH has an almost 8 yr old daughter and we want 3 more.

Our timing wasn't dependent on "months post wedding". It was dependent on when we pay off our credit card debt, when our house renovations are done, and when we have X amount in our savings account. My husband is also working towards his CPA so he wants those exams finished prior. It's looking like all those things will be done towards the end of 2020 so that's when we will start trying. It'll be 1.5 years after our wedding. I also want to make sure we are both in healthy condition physically & eating right.

We are going to wait just a month or so. Getting married in June and will probably start trying mid-late July. Sounds silly but we are both teachers and would like to try to time it so that my maternity leave would go right up through summer and we wouldn't have to put a newborn in childcare.

This is a part of our thinking, too. My brother and SIL had trouble and advised to not hesitate too much in case that were to happen to us.

We waited 5 years. Had 1st baby at age 28 and the 2nd at age 32.

I personally want a honeymoon baby! LOL I have my wonderful son from my previous marriage. He's 11 years old. My and FH have been together for 6 1/2 years and I'll be 40 next October...FH is five years younger than me, LOL Sooooo biologically speaking, I would love to have his child BEFORE ... but here's the crazy thing: our wedding isn't until 5/22/21 so...even if we do get pregnant during our honeymoon...lol...i'll still be 40 giving brith! HA! Catch-22! Oh well!
