How long after your wedding are you going on your honeymoon?

Initially, I won a trip to Panama (the mountain/forestry region) and recently found out that it can be transferred to either St. Lucia, Barbados, or Antigua so my fiance and I have decided on St. Lucia!! Now with this trip we get a Deluxe Ocean View room included with our stay, but if we travel beginning April 16th we get a complimentary upgrade to a Ocean View Suite (which is obviously bigger, has a living area and balcony spanning the length of the room) - we are getting married on March 19th 2021 - to take advantage of this suite and the full honeymoon experience we wouldn't be opposed to traveling 1 month after the wedding.

When are you planning to go on your honeymoons? Thoughts? Smiley smile

I would wait the month and do the upgrade! If we weren't getting married in October, I would wait a couple months for the honeymoon. However, I don't want to overlap with the holidays. We will be going a week and a half after the honeymoon. I'd definitely do the upgrade though - that seems awesome!

We are going 3 months after the wedding due to work constraints. I for one don't think it matters.

Our wedding is the 14th of March, we are leaving March 16 ! I couldn’t see myself leaving at the crack of dawn the very next day due to not knowing the state we would be in 😜! But honeymoon as you please! No date will determine if it is as honeymoon or not 😘

    We went 5 months after.

We got married in August, and between our service/arts sector jobs, our destination (Disney/Universal), and costs, we decided not to go until January. It's a slower time for Disney, it's freezing in the Northeast (though Florida ended up having the coldest days they'd had for decades... of course), but more importantly... Hurricane Dorian blew through the week after our wedding. August + Florida = hurricanes, and we didn't want to mess with our trip.
