How long after marriage do you continue to wear your engagement ring?

I'm wearing mine for life, because I'm getting mine soldered together with my wedding band. Never heard of not wearing the engagement ring

I had no idea people didn't wear both rings. How could you not wear your engagement ring? I would be so sad.

I know a lot of people will get cheaper bands to wear everyday or on vacation so they don't have to worry about it getting messed up or lost.

Forever. But it's interesting bc my fh thought you only wear it until the wedding, so he was going to buy a silver one then a really nice gold ring for the wedding! I set him straight, lol! For some reason his mom only wears one ring so he didn't know. The ladies at the jewelry store all showed him there runs and he was shocked!

It's more important to me than my wedding band, so forever.

My mom wore hers until she died - which was almost 20 years after my dad died. I now also wear hers on my right hand and will wear it until I die.
