So me & my fiance live in Florida and had planned to have a beach wedding and a reception to follow with about 100 guests at a hotel on the beach........then Covid-19 hit Smiley ups

Luckily, we were able to make other arrangements and are now having 3 separate celebrations so our family and friends out of state don't have to travel and risk their health.

How are y'all dealing with all of this Covid-19 craziness?

The fiance and I have been planning this for 1.5 years so we weren't sure if it was going to happen. He and I agreed that no matter the turnout we are gong ahead with the big day. We are having a small wedding anyway so it's not that big an issue with us. The only thing we have changed is where the reception is being held. Originally we were going to have it at his mom and dad's campground. We had to change that back to the wedding venue because FIL would not allow us to move the coin operated pool table.Which was in the middle of where we had planned the dance floor. No biggie and it actually makes me happier as now I only have one place to setup and decorate!

I gave up a long time ago, honestly, trying to plan around COVID. Our original date was in October and I watched countless brides, over this Summer, unhappily reschedule one of the most important days of their lives. It was heartbreaking, and at the time I didn't know I'd have to do it to.

Once we realized that we wouldn't be able to have the wedding we planned- we decided to postpone the celebration to Summer 2021. But, we chose to move forward with getting legally wed on our original date in October with our parents and grandparents present. Everyone else can wait to celebrate with us next Summer and we'll be renewing our vows in front of the rest of our family and friends.
