How far in advance did you book a venue?

We booked 17 months ahead/one month into the engagement.

Long engagement, knew what venue we wanted 2 yrs out; but won't take any reservations any earlier than 18 months ahead.

It would say it varies by venue and location. I booked mine 13 months in advance, he is now 50% booked for 2018. Some have rules on booking at a certain time, others will book as interest comes in.

We booked 10 months out. It was a few weeks after we got engaged, and I contacted at least 15 venues that I was interested in that were already booked. Popular venues in my area can book 2 years in advance.

We booked our venue just under 2 years out. They already had 2017 weekends booking in 2015, so we jumped.

We booked ours originally about 14 months. After a set back. We were able to change date which help and allow us more time.They were booked up for 2017 and 2018 on dates we really wanted.
