I need help I have googled this and still no luck, how do I let guests know to wear a tea hat or extravagant hat to my tea party themed bridal shower? Also how would I make sure people know I'm serving a breakfast not just finger foods.

My bachelorette party is a tea party - so the invites say "Hats and gloves strongly encouraged." Plus you just tell people. I've had so many women excited about buying fun hats! I just bought mine on ebay - I can't wait to wear it. Have fun with yours, too!

Can the invitation have a pic of a hat as part of the design?

Come to the Mad Hatter's tea party?

Or I would have fun and create a fake Miss Manners blurb about how appropriate attire for this party is hats and pearls or whatever!

I like EricaTx's idea. I would simply put that hats are encouraged and also spread it by word of mouth. This sounds right up my alley! I hate wearing hats, but would so wear one for a tea party.

Offer a prize for the best hat Smiley winking could even just be a coffee giftcard or something small!
