How do i match this?? Colored wedding dress

Nicole, on September 1, 2019 at 1:44 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 18
I actually posted this before but now I can’t find it! This is my dress, but, I have no clue what I should put my bridesmaids in. The design is not as lavender as it looks in the picture. It’s like a dusty wisteria. My fiancé will be in Indigo. I thought about white or cream. Thoughts?

Pretty dress! Why not put them in that darker purple lace color on your dress?

Darker shades would look beautiful. Even if it’s close to the color, having all the Girls in it will be great

Maybe the salon you bought your dress from can help you find a swatch to bring with you or at least point you in the right direction. It’s a lovely color. You can also image search your dress and see what other brides chose.

I’ve seen that dress and love it! So unique. Do you have a pic of you in it???

For the BMs, I say cream or indigo!

That dress is so gorg! Will you keep it? If you take out the crinoline and make turn the skirt part into either a tea length or high-low, you could totally wear it out again... anniversary dinner, theater, etc.

I definitely feel like the dress is whimsical so I guess as long as the BM dresses are whimsical and close it should look ok, right? I don’t know why but BM dresses have been the most stressful part of the whole planning process!

I go back in a month so I can show my mom the dress. Maybe they can help me! That’s a great idea! Thank you!

Found a few ideas. They all flatter your dress without being too matchy-matchy. A blue based dusty lavender seems to match your lace from the photo but a dusty amethyst or lilac compliments your dress as a whole. As long as it’s more muted, purple can look like an Easter egg when it’s so vibrant. 😰
I love your dress, I would’ve wanted to try that on if I saw it! Purple dresses are my favorite.

I love the second and last picture!!! Thank you!
I told the consultant what I wanted and she only brought one dress, this dress, and she was right. It was just perfect. I ended up trying on a few other dresses just to be sure but she knew what she was talking about!

Try not to stress Nicole. This is exciting stuff. If you feel yourself getting overwhelmed, try again in a day or so.

    Wow, it's stunning on you!

I still vote for cream for indigo for your BMs.

Another option would be for the groom/GMs and BMs to wear black. Your dress would POP and would look smashing for a formal evening wedding.

I think gray would look really pretty with your dress is you are worried about trying to find a lavender that matches.

I'm wearing a lavender dress and my maids will be in ivory.

It kind of depends on how you want to pop. Indigo (or periwinkle...basically the pastel version of indigo) could be really pretty, but would bring out completely different aspects of the dress than a white or black dress.

This is absolutely stunning. I think a darker shade would really work well for your bridal party.
