How Do I Keep A Heavy Strapless Dress In Place??

Ashleigh, on June 17, 2012 at 11:00 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5

I have purchased my dress, and it will need some alerations, but I want to know if any one has some suggestions to keep a heavy strapless dress from sliding down... throw 'em out if you have really good ones- especially for people with small chests!! Smiley smile

If it fits, it shouldn't slide down… It should be tight enough that it fits through the waist and holds itself up.

Agreed. A well fitting dress should have boning and support in it to hold itself up.

Yep! It's all in the boning and support around the ribcage, waist and hips. And then the tailoring around the bust.

Mine was strapless, and fairly heavy, and I didn't even wear a bra. Fit like a glove and stayed put.

As the ladies stated above, its all about good alterations. Shouldnt move once fitted properly.

Same as stated. I had a strapless that was very heavily beaded on the top but with the corset back and correct fitting, it never fell.
