How did your livestream go?

This probably belongs in a different category... whoops.

I don’t know anyone who has done it but just from personal experience using group face chats, I’d use Zoom. WebEx is thee worst! Like if you have more than 5 people in WebEx it starts messing up bad.

I haven't been involved in a livestream wedding, but we are using a lot of video chat for work.


Make sure everyone joins with their audio off, or you'll have a ton of echo chambers, each computer picking up audio from the others.
Have a designated point person man the livestream. Most platforms require an admin to let people in. Be sure to use a platform that let you kick out a Zoom bomber. I think our DJ is going to babysit the livestream, since he handles audio.
You'll need a good Internet connection.

Thank you, I too have been doing a lot of video chat for work and the echo chamber or sounds of someone bouncing into their mic is really noticeable.

I'm thinking about doing it through Facebook so people don't have to call in and we don't risk anyone NOT muting.

Figuring out who will man the camera will be a different case entirely. Most of the people at my little wedding are quite a bit older.

Do they hold up the camera to show my entrance, or do they just miss that part? So many little variables.. maybe I'll see about a stand..

If we don't go the Facebook private group route, we will probably use Zoom! I use Zoom and Teams at work and they seem to do OK.

My wedding is tomorrow I’m doing a Group FaceTime you can FaceTime up to 32 people.
