I just love hearing stories about proposals so whats yours? for me my fh had made dinner for me and as we were eating he started eating fruit and I was like " wheres mine did you forget about me?" thinking to myself that I want some fruit too lol not even knowing he already had something planned. He goes towards the refrigerator and brings the bowl back filled with fruit and a small black box inside. I was so nervous I knocked over the wine I was in shock i mean we talked about it before but this was not expected at all. So then I hear these words "WILL YOU MARRY ME?" before I could answer him and take it all in I prayed first (yes, I prayed first because I am learning how to seek God first before anything and in any decisions) then went back in the living room and answered "YES!" it was special just me and him just how I would have wanted it something personal.

Man, y'all are lucky Smiley smile lol

Mine was so "spur of the moment"

I was joking around and told him I was changing my "relationship status" on Facebook to "single" to see my friends response (I wasn't really lol), the dork asked "Why don't you change it to 'engaged'?" "Because...I'm not engaged...*laugh*". So, Daniel got down on one knee and said "Babes, I love you, so much, will you marry me?". He almost died when I told him "No.". (yeah, yeah, I'm mean), he said "but...why?!" "Because you're a dork and believed that I would really mean that (the 'no')." Smiley tongue Of course I told him "yes!" after that. Smiley tongue

My FH and I are HS Sweethearts. We've been together 6 years and my favorite place ever is to go to his family's lake house. In March or April FH and I made a Summer to-do list of fun things we wanted to do in the summer. He slipped in that he wanted to do a hot air balloon ride, he figured somewhere near his lakehouse would do it and I didn't think anything of it...fast forward to early May, we were talking about going to his family's house for memorial day weekend and he said "oh, I forgot to tell you I booked a hot air balloon ride for us that Friday up in Galena" which isn't far from his family's house...again, he's always doing spontaneous things, so I didn't think anything of it....Fast forward again to memorial day weekend. We were leaving my house and I was running late (of course)...his family's weekend house is about 2 hours away from home, so we get on the road and he gets a flat tire on the trailer we were pulling...that takes about a half hour so we finally get to his...

Family's lakehouse and he hurried to get ready and we left to go to the resort at Galena. When we get there, the people tell us the balloon ride has been delayed because there was a storm coming over the river. Shortly after, we were told the balloon ride was canceled. FH was acting really bummed and i couldn't figure out why it was such a huge deal, we could do it another weekend. After a couple drinks, FH asked if I wanted to walk around the resort before we headed home (in my head I was like uhh, wtf, no way it's still sorta raining) so we took a walk and went down by these docks. I finally said to him "Why are you so bummed about this, we can do it another time." and he said "That was my plan for today, though" to which I responded "Well, plans don't always work out..." and he said (as he got down on his knee) "and sometimes you have to improvise". I completely lost it at that point Smiley smile

We was at the club that we met at originally. I was wantin to get my tipsy on so I axed him to get me a drink. He came back with my drink and there was a ring in the cup. Then he got down on one knee in the middle of the dance floor and axed me to be his boo for life. It was the greatest moment of my life that I always be cherishing.

FH is in the Nevada Army National Guard, was deployed to Afghanistan for an entire year in 2011....was very hard to be without each other for that long. He got a 2 week R&R in September and we planned to meet and vacation with each other across the world in London & Paris. Our 5th day stay in Paris we visited the castle château de versailles (I love castles), so in their gigantic open garden was a maze of tall trees we went walking through. FH was playing around saying he was going to leave me in the maze and took off running behind some bushes. I said "well, what kind of a boyfriend are you if you leave me in a maze?" I kept walking on, and then he comes out of the bushes with bent knee, ring box opened and proposed to me. Geez I had a range of emotions that moment....from joking, to happy and felt bad before what I said before he proposed.....lol. To this day we still joke about the "what kind of boyfriend are you" comment....lol.

My fiance took me to seattle but wouldnt tell me where we were going, the gps kept gettin closer to our "destination" and when it said "your destination will be on the right hand side" all I could see was a Jack n box in the u villiage..I was confused&amused waitin to see what big surprise was.we found some parking and started walking & he says "oh stop this is where we are going" A sign read "The Grand Illusion" I thought maybe it was an illsuion show.Once inside i figured out it was a movie theater, in fact the oldest running movie theater in Seattle. He had rented the whole place out, the movie that played was from our very first date in NOV 2009 (Ninja Assasin..yeah its just "us") I thought it was hilarious, when we got up to leave he dropped to one knee and my best friend asked me to be his wife! Happy gal!

Mine is a bit weird. We started the wedding planning before we got engaged and on one of our tips on a tour of a venue is when he proposed. There was this photo booth and I suggested we take pictures. In the booth he asked me to marry him. At first I said "no" even before he asked, but I meant it as "no this isn't supposed to be happening right now, why is it happening, I wasn't expecting it!" and that was because just the night before we were looking at e-rings, little did I know he had already bought it! But after I let him finish his question I said "yes". I loved how the photo booth captured different moments in the proposal... the one where is is awkwardly standing next to me because he's nervous, when he proposes, the kiss right after and the hug and tears. It was such a crowded place yet in that booth it felt like it was just us and the whole world disappeared. ... my hands are shaking as I type this, remembering that moment, just two weeks ago .I feel like the luckiest girl.

Congratulations!! I know how you felt by knocking everything over! If I had done something similar, I am sure my fiance would have knocked over something too from excitement!

Also, this is how I proposed to my Fiance:
